Join DOROT as Art Historian Debbie Wells of Artful Circle tells the story of the tragic Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of March 1911. Debbie’s presentation will give  additional, personal insight, as Debbie discovered her husband’s family descends from Annie Nicholas, an 18 year old button-maker and Russian-Jewish immigrant who survived the fire.

Debbie Wells

A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Debbie Wells is an award-winning graphic designer,  photographer, muralist and painter. Together with Franklin Hill Perrell, she lectures and co-curates exhibitions, as well as responsible for all Artful Circle’s marketing and communications. Wells also serves as Immediate Past President on the Art League of Long Island board after three years as President. She is an active Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club in NYC and serves on the PR committee and as juror for club exhibitions.
