A historic Revolutionary War battle; a replica of a medieval monastery; remnants of one of New York’s most incredible private estates. It’s time to take a virtual trip to one of the highest points in Manhattan to uncover the sights and stories hidden throughout one of New York’s most coveted parks. Join DOROT when tour guide Jim Ryan returns to DOROT for a virtual exploration of Fort Tryon Park in the Manhattan neighborhoods of Hudson Heights & Inwood, which has been the site of Revolutionary War forts, a sprawling Gilded Age estate, and now one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces. Afterward, there will be a Q&A with Jim — any and all questions about Fort Tryon Park and the surrounding area are welcomed and encouraged!
