Jim Picinich

Jim Picinich has been a Public Program volunteer at the New-York Historical Society for 15 years. In October of 2009, Jim added Docent responsibilities to his contributions to the Society. Over the years, Jim has presented numerous Off-site Lectures, covering a range of historical topics, as well led private and public tours of the Museum’s Permanent Collection and Special Exhibitions. Jim specializes in 19th Century/ Civil War era history, and his favorite historical figure is Abraham Lincoln. For thirty years, Jim worked for the CBS television network in various management capacities including programming, production and financial planning.
