Meditations on Mortality: Dress Rehearsal for Yom Kippur
Event Contact
Join the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and Shomer Collective for two daily meditations on the themes of impermanence and endings as we transition into the New Year. Through engaging in Jewish wisdom and meditating on the utility of reflecting on death to live a life of greater meaning and connection, we will strive to experience the power of lessening fear around contemplating our own mortality.
The meditation on Monday, October 3, will be led by Rabbi Myriam Klotz, and on Tuesday, October 4 (the eve of Yom Kippur), by Rabbi Marc Margolius.
Each meditation will take place from 12:30-1 pm ET, ending with an opportunity for mourners to recite the Mourner’s Kaddish, and followed by a brief Q and A session with the leaders from 1-1:15 pm ET.
