ESMoA Presents: Matriarchs Art Workshop

Join California’s El Segundo Museum of Art for a virtual tour and hands-on art workshop of Experience 37: MATRIARCHS, a 2018 exhibit that featured multiple works by 12 contemporary women and two-spirit Indigenous artists representing 14 Indigenous communities from the United States and Central America. Featured are an array of media including fashion, metalwork, photography, painting, basketry, and video. Together we’ll look at two artworks before starting our art activity, using personal symbols to design and draw a garment that tells a story. Led by ESMoA Docent.
