The Sukkah, the hut Jewish people traditionally live, eat and sleep in during the fall holiday of Sukkot, is commonly thought to symbolize the huts that the Israelites lived in when they wandered in the wilderness. But Torah tells us that the Israelites dwelt in tents, not huts.
