Ranked Choice Voter Training: How it Works and Why it Matters

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is being used for the first time in the upcoming primaries and special elections for all local offices including City Council, Borough President, Comptroller, Public Advocate, and Mayor. Voters overwhelmingly passed RCV in the fall of 2019, with 74 percent of the vote. This training will help voters understand the methodology, the mechanics and importance of RCV in expanding the playing field. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
